more about su

 08.May.08

i've written about su blackwell's art before...but as i was surfing around the web this morning i returned to her blog to find new creations that took my breathe away.  the idea of turning something orginally flat and banal into something defined and elegant, from ordinary books just amazes me.  su transforms books into beautfiul, incredibly intricate 3-d stories for us to witness, often using fairytales as her theme...which i'm always drawn to- anything ethereal, mystical, and magical. it's reassuring to me that people are out there in the world creating beautiful works of art for us.  feast...

I'm breathless! The music in your blog just adds a whole new dimension to it.
